Sheridan County and surrounding area residents: tens, couples, singles and families, gathered to have their annual outdoor picnic supper at the Goodrich Park, meal compliments of Choice Financial Services of Goodrich. The bank staff served. Cotton Wood played for Ducks Unlimited free community appreciation supper, entertaining with top-quality bluegrass music.

Pay hikes for teachers grew in the single digits over the past years. If the governor has his way there will be more pay increases tied to students’ successes. Salary increases and benefit packages for area teachers increased an average of 9 percent in the past two years, according to recently released data from the state Department of Public Instruction.

McClusky Elementary Christmas concert on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 21, at the elementary school. Third and fourth grade recorder band played two selections “Jingle Bells,” and “Good King Wenceslas.”
