Four members of the Garrison Cross Country team traveled to Valley City this past weekend to compete in the state meet. All came home knowing they had strong finishes. For three, the success is impetus for next year.

Rain, wind, a wet field, and a continuously running game clock meant each possession would be critical in this gridiron match-up between the Troopers and the Velva Aggies this past Monday in Velva.

The Troopers junior high football team bounced back from a lackluster effort in its previous game, playing one of its best overall games of the season as they knocked off the Central McLean Cougars in Underwood.

Oh, so close, but yet, so far away. The Garrison-Max Troopers came within an eyelash of going 3-1 on the season this past Friday night, It was in sight, but a two-point conversion for the lead was just off target giving the Heart River Cougars a hard-fought 34-33 victory.
