A story of mutual growth, 25 years in the making
James Miller, 76, enjoys his coffee, and doesn’t at all mind making mail runs. He is simply happy to have his independence. "I just love it here," James said. "I can get out and go for a meal or go for anything. I help get mail; I don’t mind doing those things." James, originally from Turtle Lake, is one of eight residents at the Knife River Group Home, and one of two residents who have lived there for all 25 years of the home’s existence.
