Area events ensure merry holiday season
The holiday season is a great time of the year to host loved ones. But this year, let someone else clean up the mess – and get out of the house to enjoy a wide, exciting array of holiday events in Hazen. Those who crave the retail adrenaline rush can get their fix on Black Friday right here in Hazen, during the Early Bird Sale Friday the day after Thanksgiving. Many Hazen stores will open at 6 a.m. to offer truly fantastic specials that will help you quickly check off your shopping list, all while supporting your local businesses. Hazen’s Christmas Walk Around will take place Thursday, Dec. 4 from 4:30-7 p.m. Soak in the spirit of the season while wandering through Hazen businesses, enjoying special sales and refreshments from 4:30-6:30 p.m. West River Telecommunications will provide your opportunity to sweet talk Santa, with free pictures with Santa in the WRT building across the street from the post office from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Each child will receive treat bags compliments of Union Bank. For those 18 and under, take part in Santa Bingo at D’Andreas/Hot Stuff Pizza from 4-6 p.m., sponsored by D’Andreas and Knife River, a branch of Capital Credit Union. Stanton is also getting into the holiday act Saturday, Dec. 6, with their annual Stanton Holiday Fair.
