Board considering Saturdays, after-school hours for discipline
If some ornery Hazen students aren’t deterred by in-school suspensions, coming to school on a Saturday might do the trick.
At least that’s the thinking of Hazen school administrators during the Hazen School Board’s regular meeting Monday evening at the Hazen Elementary School.
Administration met on the matter and determined that supervised in-school suspensions for three hours on a Saturday, or for one hour after school for four or five days, would more effectively deter some students from getting into trouble.
