Celebrating the holidays, Japan-style

One Hazen family got a taste of the Yuletide that was a little bit on the exotic side.
The Kurttis were able to have a family reunion of sorts over the Christmas and New Year’s season, although it was held on the other side of the globe. Two of the three boys in the family, Jason and Matthew, are currently staying in Japan for an extended period of time, and the rest of the family recently got the chance to visit them.
From Dec. 20 to Jan. 1, Arlen and Sheryl Kurtti, joined by third son Nathan, were able to see some of the highlights Japan has to offer, from shrines to mountains to bottles of sake (Japanese wine).
The opportunity for the family came about as a result of the opportunity for their sons.
