Christmas blizzard complicates holiday
I blame you, Irving Berlin. Berlin, the gentleman who penned "White Christmas," should have included a lyrical limit in his plea for holiday snowfall. The dream for a white Christmas turned into harsh reality for nearly all of North Dakota this past weekend, with a three-day blizzard dropping as many as 2-plus feet in some eastern parts of the state. In the Hazen and Beulah area, snowfall accumulations Wednesday through Sunday measured over 1 foot, with blowing snow reducing visibility and making travel a bit more difficult for holiday travelers looking to get out of, or into the county.
