Christmas in Stanton: The familiar and the new

Every first weekend of December, Stanton gets in the holiday spirit.
This year, despite many things being the same as previous years, the Stanton Holiday Fair Dec. 1 will feature new attractions continuing after the official 3 p.m. ending of the fair.
“Something different that we’re doing this year is to try to have a Christmas parade at 3:30,” Wanda Knutson said. Knutson, who is helping head the event up, added the parade is dependent on the weather.
“Anyone can enter the parade,” she added. “Put lights on your side-by-side, whatever you want to do.”
Knutson said the parade route will be along Harmon Ave., following the route taken during the Two Rivers Festival in August.
