City locks in loan for hotel project
There is still much work to be done – but one small, necessary part of the process to bring a second hotel to Hazen has been completed. At their regular meeting Monday night at Hazen City Hall, the Hazen City Commission approved a $400,000 loan through The Union Bank, Hazen, to help the city pay off their portion of infrastructure costs that will come from development of Block 2 in west Hazen. That development, set to take place where the city’s grass and tree dump now sits, is shaping up to be a hotel constructed by Hazen Hospitality Associates, L.L.C. – which is a newly-formed entity of Cascade Homes of Bozeman, Mont.
