City nixes proposed zoning amendment
Despite Hazen City Planning and Zoning Committee’s recommendation for approval, the Hazen City Commission just couldn’t quite pull the trigger on a proposed amendment to zoning ordinance at Monday’s meeting of the commission. Under the current zoning ordinance, Hazen City Planner Steve Frovarp explained that properties zoned R-2 only allow for construction of multiple family dwellings as well as churches, schools or medical facilities.
