City officials mull water agreement
SWA: ‘We want to work with you’
A decision to abandon a Southwest Water pipeline in north Hazen could set a precedent for residents living on the edge of the city.
“We want to work with the city to come to an agreement if we can,” said. “If we can provide service great. If we cannot you’ll let us provide it until you deem we shouldn’t.”
Hazen City commissioners listened to details about an agreement the city made with SWA and Brent Hysjulien in 2011. The commission granted the Dickinson-based water supplier to provide Hysjulien with water. He was able to hook-up last week, Massad said.
