City reminds residents of property tax relief
In the wake of Hazen’s citywide property reappraisal, Hazen’s overall value of residential property increased by about 45 percent and commercial property values increased by about 52 percent. Those increases have city personnel worried some residents might have gotten sticker shock this week when opening their revaluation notices from Iowa-based Vanguard Appraisals, Inc.
