Commission debates approach to CARES Act funds
As 2020 wraps up, so does the payments the county received that year through the CARES Act, which is designed to help offset some of the costs facing counties with the ongoing pandemic.
Early in November, the Mercer County Commission (at the time composed of several different members than currently) passed a motion to establish a special fund for the money received through the CARES Act. Commissioner Marv Schwehr said this would make it easier to track and record where that money went and how it was spent.
