Commissioner raises red flag about county's financial state
When Marvin Schwehr joined the Mercer County Commission a year ago, he didn’t do it to make friends.
And that’s exactly what happened.
Since taking office 14 months ago, Schwehr has been a thorn in the side of the Mercer County auditor. He wants more detailed financial reports for a county with a $1.5 million shortfall, a comprehensive audit by the state and adequate tax and financial software.
