County Commission discusses concerns about road ownership

One man’s road concern prompted a lot of discussion.
Dennis Flemmer came to the commission to discuss a situation involving access to his land. He reported a minimum maintenance road on his land was determined at a previous county commission meeting to be his property, not having been located on an actual section line, since the section line is not conducive for a road.
Flemmer said his property is fenced and posted with “No Trespass” signs, but a neighbor has used the road to travel through that land. He wanted confirmation that the road is private and under his ownership on his property, stating the county’s previous decision and the fact that no maintenance has been provided on the road since that time.
