Coyote Station enters agreement with NACC

Dakota Westmoreland has four more years as coal supplier to Coyote Station before it will be replaced by The North American Coal Corporation. The decision was made public recently through a press release from Coyote Station owners Otter Tail Power Company, Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., NorthWestern Energy, and Northern Municipal Power Agency.
A press release on the subject quoted Coyote Station station manager Jan Rudolf as stating that the new mine should be ready to deliver lignite coal in May 2016 when the station’s contract with the existing supplier ends. Rudolf was further quoted as stating the 35-year contract would end in 2016 so proposals were sent to coal suppliers two years ago.
