Dahl picked as new commissioner

As the county commission gathered for their first May meeting last Wednesday, one of the five seats was conspicuously empty.
Former Mercer County Commissioner Wes Gunsch announced his intent to resign from his seat on the board during a meeting April 3, with Gunsch remaining in his position until the end of April.
For the May 1 meeting, the commission was comprised of just four members. However, at the end of the meeting, and with a full house of candidates and residents in attendance to witness the commission’s decision, the commissioners appointed a successor to fill out the remainder of Gunsch’s term.
