District 33 GOP picks nominees
State Sen. Jessica Unruh has received the endorsement from the Republicans to run for her first full term in the legislature. Unruh has been serving in the North Dakota Senate since 2012, when she was appointed to fill the position vacated by now Public Service Commissioner Randy Christmann.
“I’m truly honored to have the district behind me in my effort to serve the people of District 33,” Unruh said. “I hope to be a champion for responsible development of our natural resources in partnership with our agricultural producers, tax relief to our citizens, and the education of our children.”
State Rep. Gary Kreidt has received the endorsement to fill one of the seats in the North Dakota House of Representatives. Kreidt has been serving in the legislature since 2003.
“Having the support of the Republicans is a great start to what is going to be an exciting campaign,” Kreidt said. “Our growing state needs leaders that are fiscally responsible while still meeting the needs of our citizens. I hope to continue to be that leader.”
Chosen to fill the remaining spot in the N.D. House of Representatives was Jay Seibel. Seibel is the former owner of Seibel Funeral Homes and has been very active in that arena for many years. He hopes to become involved with human services discussions, amongst others, while serving in the legislature.
“It’s an honor to have the Republican endorsement for the N.D. House of Representatives seat,” Seibel said. “My family and I are excited for what the future holds and are ready to work for the votes of the people of District 33.”
