Elephants, dinosaurs and fun for all

“Word gets around when the circus comes to town.”
These words, written by Cormac McCarthy in his novel “All the Pretty Horses”, might define the conversations of Hazen residents as the big show comes to their community.
On June 30, Carson and Barnes will host their traveling “Circus Saurus” event right here in the Hazen community. There will be two shows, at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. that Sunday, with an elephant bath preceding the show at noon.
“I anticipate a nice full day of entertainment for those who want to come and see the show,” Hazen Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Antoinette Heier said. “It will be two hours of fun and excitement.”
