Expanded KRIV garden showcases Native cropsWhile the Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site has long been a travel destination for its preserved village mounds and full earth mound replica, it has recently added another attraction to draw people in: an expanded look at Native gardening.
Darian Kath, currently the acting Interpretive and Cultural Resources Manager at KRIV, said he began working on the expanded garden near the earth mound in 2017
