Farm Rescue addsDennis Wiese as director of development

Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization that provides planting, harvesting or haying assistance free of charge to farm families who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster, announced that Dennis Wiese has been hired as the director of development for the organization.
“I am confident that Dennis will fill the role of director of development quite well given his experiences and his network of friends and associates throughout the region and country,” said Bill Gross, founder and president of Farm Rescue. “Dennis has a wide array of experiences in both rural America and in non-agricultural areas of the United States. He has worked on projects in the environmental, food, energy and transportation industries while maintaining his roots in farming and serving the public.”
Experience in an array of sectors could make the difference for Farm Rescue as Wiese gets settled in.
“After my years with the South Dakota Farmers Union and the National Farmers Union, I wanted to return to work that focused on making a difference in people’s lives,” Wiese said. “I have had the good fortune of working with and for many important and great businesses that do many things in the for-profit world, but in non-profit work it really is about the people you work with every day who may need help in one way or another.
