Food pantry available for families in need

By Daniel Arens

Although COVID-19 has changed many things, the Hazen Food Pantry remains a place where those struggling to make ends meet can find support and needed supplies.
Food pantry volunteers Lindy Suelzle and Theresa Moore said the number of people coming to the pantry dropped after the virus really started impacting things in the state, although it has picked up again somewhat since then. Whether people are afraid of coming to the pantry’s location at English Lutheran Church or are just uncertain about what the status of the pantry is during the pandemic, the result was a decrease in activity, if not in need.
