Forester has vibrant plans for a Hazen orchard
Hopes to see Hazen’s nursery blossom into a full orchard took a big step forward at the end of last week.
The North Dakota Department of Agriculture announced the awarding of an $8,800 grant to the City of Hazen for developing a community orchard. This orchard’s purpose, as described in the press release from Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring, would be “an outdoor classroom for the middle and high school and to provide fruit for the school and senior citizens.”
