There are four seasons in North Dakota – winter, winter, winter and construction.
The orange cones are up and the Caterpillars are out near Hazen, Stanton and Garrison Dam. The area has three of 327 projects in the state, according to the Department of Transportation.
“That is for sure our largest construction season,” DOT spokewoman Jamie Olson said. “There are a number of projects in western North Dakota so it is probably inevitable that people will run into them at one time or another.”
