Girl Scouts celebrate a successful year
By Daniel Arens
Last Tuesday evening, Hazen Girl Scouts and their families came out to recognize the achievements of the young ladies and the impact the organization has made in the community over the last year.
There are three seniors in Girl Scouts this year, one of whom has completed her project to receive a Gold Award (the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve), while the other two are currently working on finishing their own Gold Award projects.
Elizabeth Nolan established a community garden within Crescent Manor so that those senior residents living there who gardened in the past can have an opportunity to continue doing so. She was presented with her Gold Award during the ceremony.
