Hazen baseball is a go
The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd and the spitting of the seed shells will be heard at the Hazen baseball diamonds this spring. The Hazen School Board agreed in unison to support a baseball team under the name of Hazen Bison at its Monday night meeting.
Athletic Director Brad Foss explained a meeting held Oct. 25 among the board’s activities committee, potential coaches, parents of students and the students interested in playing baseball. Twenty-two students showed interest in participating in baseball, giving the board a positive feeling that it wasn’t a lost cause. Only three seniors signed up.
“The numbers are there,” Foss said.
