Hazen commissioners mull budget
The 2013 budget had Hazen commissioners putting there heads in their hands as they made tough decisions to balance it during a special meeting Aug. 29 at City Hall.
The general fund was $7,621 over budget. The commission looked at three areas to bring the budget into balance; Hazen Community Development, the RV Park Development fund and employee salary.
The city set aside $50,000 for the RV Park and $12,000 for HCD. The commissioners suggested giving city employees a 5 percent increase in salaries across the board Aug. 22.
