Hazen starting to feel the boom
On Monday, nine new students started school in the Hazen School District.
It very well could be a sign of things to come.
Hazen is in the midst of a mini housing boom, which can be seen in the number of city lots sold to date in 2011. According to Hazen City Planner Steve Frovarp, 28 city lots have been sold this year. Of those lots, 11 are intended for construction of new homes. At least two of the homes are scheduled to finish construction this year, Frovarp noted.
