Holiday snow puts plows on the roads
Not many people go over the river and through the woods to Grandma’s house by sleigh any more. That’s why most people were glad that Mercer County had their snowplows out during he holiday weekend.
Normally the Friday after Thanksgiving is a holiday for county employees, said Mercer County Road Superintendent Roy Braun. This year, that holiday was cut short as crew members were called in to deal with the all the wind blown snow.
