HPS, HEA approves master contract
Full-time teachers at Hazen Public Schools will not get paid less than $33,725 for the 2013-14 school year while all previous contracted educators will get a 6.25 percent increase.
School board members unanimously approved the master contract Monday during a meeting at Hazen Elementary School. The agreement increased the base salary for teachers by $1,000 from last year. It also added a day to their schedule, contracting them for 183 days.
