Krause’s buys nursery land
After a drawn-out and somewhat tumultuous process, Monday night the Hazen City Commission unanimously approved Krause’s Inc.’s purchase of the land where Sam Reich Memorial Municipal Tree Nursery now sits in west Hazen. Monday evening, the commission approved a purchase agreement stating Krause’s Inc. will purchase the east 442 feet of the nursery land in the Christmann Second Addition in west Hazen for $41,000. The purchase includes an immediate payment of $2,000 – which Krause’s Super Valu co-owner Dalles Krause Jr. has submitted – as well as $39,000 to be used by the city for costs "related to the acquisition and development of a new, replacement tree nursery."
