Last call for new hero banners

Spring is on the way, and with it, Hazen will soon find its major city streets adorned with the faces of brave local heroes who served this nation over the last century and more.
While there are plenty of “Hometown Hero” banners going up again from last year, as those submitted are put up for a period of two years, Antoinette Heier, Hazen Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) executive director, said there is still room for more. But there is also a deadline of March 29 for new banners to be ordered.
“We’re really kind of trying to keep a firm date for that,” she said. “That way they’ll all be up by Memorial Day.”
