MC candidates

This week, the Beulah Beacon and Hazen Star sat down with the four candidates for the Mercer County Commission: incumbents Wayne Entze, Zap, and Frank Bitterman, Golden Valley; and challengers Tobias "Toby" Lemer, Pick City, and Willy Braun, Golden Valley.

 

1. Name, Residence, Family, Career/former career, other boards/org you belong to

Entze has farmed and ranched since 1981, is a member Zap Fire District and past member of his church council.

Bitterman is retired and lives with his wife, Arless, in Golden Valley. The couple has nine children, 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He spent 23 years working at Indian Head Mine and 23 years as chief of police in Zap, Golden Valley and Killdeer. He also served on the Zap School Board and as Zap-Golden Valley municipal judge.
