McCray named as North Dakota’s Distinguished Student

One Hazen junior made a stand-out impression with her passion, honesty, hard work and well-rounded approach to life.
As a result of these traits, Hazen Junior Sloane McCray was named this year’s Distinguished Student by the North Dakota High School Activities Association (NDHSAA) and Farmer’s Union Insurance. McCray is the daughter of Loren McCray and Kimberly (and stepdad Kevin) Kraft.
“I honestly wasn’t expecting to win at all, cause I looked up at the other winners and they were all real leaders,” McCray said. “But I was really forthright in the interviews and I think my answers were kind of creative.”
