Mercer, McLean develop sexual assault response team
In order to help sexual assault victims quicker officials in Mercer and McLean counties have decided to band together to form a sexual assault team, something that is a rarity in North Dakota.
The State’s Attorney’s offices and Sheriff’s offices in Mercer and McLean counties, along with the Mercer County Women’s Action and Resource Center and the Abused Adult Resource Center in McLean County formed the team. The group has received grants to develop the program and is in the final stages of planning.
