Motor coach members gather at Hazen Bay
By Daniel Arens
Roughly 50 members of a motor coach organization, as well as extended family members, gathered at Hazen Bay this weekend to enjoy what the Lake Sakakawea area has to offer.
With gorgeous weather, the weekend was a prime opportunity to do exactly that. Tours at Knife River Indian Villages and the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery, ice cream in Pick City, a restaurant in Riverdale, a pontoon ride on the lake, and special music from their grandchildren were just a few of the many different events this group enjoyed.
The rally was hosted by Dave and Barb Kitzan at Hazen Bay. Members of the group spoke high praise of the way the rally was organized by the Kitzans, and the variety of different events they enjoyed.
“Everything went wonderful and as planned,” Barb Kitzan said.
Calling themselves the “Ramblin’ Nodaks,” the motor coach group is part of the Family Motor Coach Association. The group consists of members from throughout North Dakota, as well as individuals from Minnesota, Montreal, and other neighboring areas. The group meets once a month from May through September.
