Music and fun on the longest of days

As the sun waits until late into the night to set June 20, Hazen residents have a chance to celebrate the light and warmth at Heritage Park.
Radio Stars is returning to town with a lineup both familiar and new to entertain people of all ages.
“The music’s gonna be fun,” Lauren Donovan, Heritage Park Renewal Committee, said. “People can sit at the picnic tables on the longest night of the year.”
The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with burgers and brats being served at the park. The concert will start at 7 p.m.
“We’re no strangers to the Hazen area,” Merrill Piepkorn, guitarist and harmonica player with Radio Stars, said. “We played in that little Pocket Park a few years ago, and we really enjoyed that.”
