New library director sees chances for more growth

Hazen’s new library director hopes to expand on the renovations and programs that were developed the last few years to make the library more attractive and lively than ever.
Cindy Aaser was hired last month to become the new library director, after Sienna Sailer announced her intention to retire. Aaser, who lives in Hannover with her husband Rick and their “spoiled” red heeler, started with the new position May 3.
“It’s kind of a little hidden treasure here,” Aaser said. “It’s not just books. We have books on tape, DVDs, memorial things.”
Among the building plans for the future are working on landscaping and replacing the current ramp leading to the library’s south doors.
