New restaurant opens at Hazen Bay

As new businesses continue to come to the community of Hazen, one enterprising family has opened a new restaurant option for people coming to Hazen Bay.
The Hazen Park and Recreation Department recently leased the former Hazen Bay Express to Todd and Wendi Kollman, who have renamed the convenient store “The Lake Shack”. The Kollmans have also created a new restaurant within the facility, also called The Lake Shack. The restaurant opened successfully over Labor Day weekend
“There’s a lot of people who really enjoyed the food,” Wendi Kollman said.
The Lake Shack restaurant is open from noon to 9:00 p.m. on Thursdays and 8 a.m. To 9:00 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays.
Breakfast meals and burgers are the mainstay of The Lake Shack’s menu, which will remain open through deer season before closing down over the winter and reopening next spring.
