Paramedic found guilty on 5 counts of disorderly conduct
Former Mercer County Ambulance Service paramedic William J. Miller, Elgin, was found guilty on five counts of disorderly conduct in a jury trial held Monday at the Mercer County Courthouse in Stanton.
The all-male jury came to the unanimous decision after about 45 minutes of deliberation. To reach that guilty verdict, however, the six-member group listened to a full day of at-times emotional testimony as current and former ambulance service staff and volunteers recounted uncomfortable training experiences with Miller.
