Park and Rec to hold two pool forums

Hazen Parks and Recreation want your input on fixing the Hazen Pool.
The Park Board will hold a public forum at 7 p.m. Tuesday and again April 2.
The pool was built in 1978, making it 35 years old. The life expectancy of most pools are 45-55 years, said Doug Jaeger of Associated Pool Builders Inc. in Bismarck during a meeting in October. The company gave the board two estimates on repairing the pool. If it renovated the pool to last for five years, it would cost approximately $168,000. A complete overhaul, which would put another 20 years on the pool, was slated at $546,500. The plans also include removing the baby pool. It would remain outdoors.
