Parking lot maintenance in question
Mercer County Meals on Wheels served 12,681 total meals in 2008 to senior citizens throughout the county – 5,546 congregate meals at the senior citizens centers and senior housing, and 7,135 home-delivered meals, according to Linda Oestreich, director of Mercer-McLean Counties Meals on Wheels. If the city-owned parking lot of the Hazen Senior Citizen’s Center/Meals on Wheels isn’t maintained – especially in rough winter months such as 2008-2009 – Oestreich worries for the people who depend on her service.
