The process of how assessments were determined for the 2018-19 street project can be difficult to explain. But it’s a process the assessment committee members believe to be the most fair to everyone.
While there are multiple ways a committee can decide to handle assessments, and points that can be raised to show why a different method might be preferable, the purpose of this article is to explain the rationale of the Hazen Special Assessment Committee, and why they made the choices they did.
