Request for sand mine operation is approved by planning board
After months of discussion and debate, a permit request from Asgard Resources to develop a proppant sand mining operation southwest of the Crossroads is heading to the county commission, with the blessing of the planning and zoning board.
There were a total of three individual applications from Asgard to the planning and zoning (P&Z) board. The board members chose to combine two of them together, as they both related to a single actual mining operation and were separate only because they were in different sections with different landowners.
