Residents urged to prepare for City Clean-up Week
Hazen’s City Clean-up Week doesn’t begin until May 9--though now is the time to get your junk in order.
Clean-up Week, May 9-13, is held by the city to help its residents get rid of things that they would otherwise not be able to haul out to the Mercer County Regional Landfill, noted City auditor Sandra Bohrer. Items will be picked up during regular garbage routes. Household, wood, steel and inert items must be sorted and ready for pickup by 6 a.m. on pickup day. City crews will be available to help pick up large items such as discarded furniture on Tuesday and Thursday.
