Water and sewer project approved for Elbowoods, Park Place

The Elbowoods Drive water and sewer project drew heated discussion Monday at Hazen City Hall.
The City Commission approved Tand Corporation’s bid for $411,804 to develop the water district, rescinding its vote July 30 to exclude Park Place. The project would have cost $354,500 without the area’s eight lots. The bids also include contingency-engineering costs.
Commissioner Nancy Wolf voted no.
