Santa Days to help support hospital expansion

By Lee Coleman

On behalf of the Sakakawea Medical Center’s Capital Campaign Committee, employees of SMC and the Hazen Clinic will band together Dec. 6 to host “Santa Days” at city hall from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
The funds raised will go to the Capital Campaign Committee in their efforts to raise $4.1 million for the expansion of SMC slated to begin next year.
Santa will come to Hazen for the inaugural event and will be available for photos with the kids. Parents need to bring their own cameras and kids under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.
“All the employees are in good Christmas spirit,” said Bonnie Johnson of SMC. “We’ve been looking forward to this. Who isn’t excited when Santa comes to town.”
In addition to seeing Santa, there will be carnival games, ornament making and many tasty snacks. Seeing Santa is free and tickets at the door can be purchased for $1.
