School hallways ready for students’ return
For the last three months, the echo of class bells and students’ chatter in the hallways of Hazen Public School was replaced with the sounds of construction. Next Thursday, Aug. 25, students return to see just what improvements have been made during their summer break.
In the elementary school, new tile flooring and carpet was placed in the gym entrance and the physical education office turned into a concession room, with the office moving across the hall to a previous storage room. Inside the gym, walls were painted and the stage opening is covered, with work yet to be done on the ceiling.
