Searching for the story of Isabel
Blade operators were tired of hitting that pesky rock every winter that jutted from the ground beneath the snow. What Mel Roth Oil Company employees found while mowing around the rock this spring, however, wasn’t a rock at all – but a granite grave marker.
Chipped in one corner, faded but still legible, it read:
Isabel Helen Leverson
Sept. 1, 1914
Apr. 5, 1915
