SMC holds annual meeting

Sakakawea Medical Center held its annual meeting at Hazen City Hall a year after ground broke on the new hospital construction.
Now, with the end of that construction project drawing close, many residents and key hospital members and partners gathered together to celebrate the accomplishments of the last year.
After an opening meal served by members of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, Hazen Memorial Hospital Association (HMHA) Chair Christie Obenauer opened the meeting, welcoming those who attended. Twelve new members registered with the association, and were unanimously approved.
Duane Pfliger, SMC Foundation president, gave his report. He said that providing high quality and affordable health care remains the primary objective of the Foundation, and thanked all who have contributed and donated to the Foundation over the past year.
